🕊️ United in Service — Faith in Action, Hope for the Community

Northwest Ohio Community Outreach (NWOCO)

Northwest Ohio Community Outreach (NWOCO) is a faith-driven 508(c)(1)(a) and IRS-approved 501(c)(3)(a) nonprofit organization serving Northwest Ohio through compassionate outreach, mentorship, education, workforce development, and community support programs rooted in the Franciscan spirit of service, dignity, and fellowship.

Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi and dedicated to the example of St. Joseph the Worker, NWOCO is committed to strengthening individuals, families, veterans, youth, seniors, and underserved members of the community through practical support, leadership development, faith-informed mentorship, and hands-on opportunities that encourage purpose, responsibility, and self-reliance.

Our outreach efforts include youth mentorship and enrichment programs, veteran outreach and support initiatives, life-skills and workforce readiness development, STEM and trades exposure, community service projects, educational activities, food support efforts, and collaborative programs designed to help individuals build confidence, dignity, and meaningful direction in life.

As a Franciscan-led organization, we believe every person possesses inherent dignity and value. While our mission is grounded in Christian faith and service, participation in any spiritual or pastoral activities is always entirely voluntary. Individuals are never required to participate in religious activities in order to receive assistance, services, or support.

NWOCO works alongside aligned ministries, community partners, volunteers, and educational initiatives to create pathways of opportunity, healing, fellowship, and hope throughout Northwest Ohio.

Professional licensing, certification, and continuing education training are provided separately through Northwest Training Institute (NWTI), an aligned but independent workforce development and skilled trades training organization with third party credentialing.
